David Bratzer is a thirty-four year old husband and father who lives in Saanich. He settled here in 2003 after residing in Edmonton, Chilliwack, St. John’s, Halifax, Montreal and Toronto.
He’s passionate about education. You can often find him in the audience of School District 61 board meetings and this year he organized a youth scholarship program for the IdeaWave conference. He is active in civic affairs as the secretary of the Quadra Cedar Hill Community Association.
He started Scientific Victoria as a way for people to get to the bottom of issues that affect their daily lives. He views science not as a panacea, but rather as a source of knowledge that complements responsibility, compassion and other factors that elected officials consider in their decision making.
In his spare time, he enjoys running, watching TED talks and eating way too much chocolate.
